Week 3 EOC: My Demographics

The demographics that I fall under is the Generation Y also known as Millennial because I was born into technology. “All generations are comfortable with technology, but this is the generation that’s been formed by technology,” says a Yahoo! executive. For them, “it’s not something separate. It’s just something they do.” This quote is from the bookhttp://outboundsso.next.ecollege.com/default/launch.ed?ssotype=VitalSource&sku=9780558851903&books=9780558851903  All over the world there is so much marketing out there everyone tries to choose what do and what is right. The generation y just wants to be in control of their own life they want to make a difference and change the world they are always looking for something new, so in order to get their attention consumers and marketers have to target very big.  The best way to reach this generation is by technology. From the website http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/money/workplace/2005-11-06-gen-y_x.htm a gentleman states that "Generation Y is much less likely to respond to the traditional command-and-control type of management still popular in much of today's workforce," says Jordan Kaplan, an associate managerial science professor at Long Island University-Brooklyn in New York. "They've grown up questioning their parents, and now they're questioning their employers. They don't know how to shut up, which is great, but that's aggravating to the 50-year-old manager who says, 'Do it and do it now.' I agree with this quote I find myself asking myself am I doing this right or how can I gain control and do it better.
